
At West Michigan Aquatics, our mission is to provide traditional and adaptive water safety and swim skill lessons, provided by a certified swim instructor. We serve all individuals from six months of age through adults.
Established in 2015 to serve rural communities in the West Michigan area. This small business started with a single pool in Oceana county reaching families searching for affordable swim lessons. West Michigan Aquatics now offers swim lessons to communities in Muskegon and Mason counties too.
At West Michigan Aquatics, the lead instructor/owner is an experienced professional who is passionate about swimming. She is a certified Red Cross swim instructor, lifeguard and adaptive swim instructor. The West Michigan Aquatics team includes a certified swimming instructor, assistant swim instructors and junior lifeguards who are dedicated to providing the best experience for our customers.
Summer swim lessons are a great way for kids to stay physically active, mentally engaged and meet new friends. Small group lessons are offered over 5 days or an 8 day session. Lessons are taught in backyard pools in the Shelby and Montague areas in the mornings and late afternoons. Registration for summer swim lessons begins in March and registration stays open throughout the summer.
Private swim lessons are offered year-round in backyard pools and the Dunes Express Hotel pool in Hart. Private or semi-private lessons offer individualized attention to skill and safety. Techniques are adapted to meet the unique needs of swimmers. Parents can schedule 1 or 2 lessons per week for four weeks. Registration opens in August for fall lessons.
West Michigan Aquatics offers a variety of swim classes to meet the needs of ALL swimmers. Adaptive swim lessons are available to help individuals with special needs learn to swim and be safe around water. Red Cross Learn-to-Swim small group classes are offered from parent - child classes to preschool aquatics and through level 6. In addi
West Michigan Aquatics offers a variety of swim classes to meet the needs of ALL swimmers. Adaptive swim lessons are available to help individuals with special needs learn to swim and be safe around water. Red Cross Learn-to-Swim small group classes are offered from parent - child classes to preschool aquatics and through level 6. In addition, a junior lifeguarding class is offered to children between the ages of 11 - 14. Adult swim lessons are offered as well.

We offer private and group lessons for all ages and skill levels, including beginner, intermediate, and advanced. Parent - child swim lessons, Junior Lifeguarding and adult swim lessons are available as well.
We require a 24 hour notice for cancellations.
Swim lessons are conducted in backyard and hotel pools.
If the lesson is canceled due to the weather, a make-up day will be offered if possible. If the lesson is canceled due to illness, a make-up day will be offered if feasible.
Please wear a swim suit to the pool that is different from the one worn to the beach. Apply sunscreen prior to the lesson. Bring a towel. Goggles are allowed for certain activities.
